Dab nails are a necessary attachment piece that all dab rig owners must have. Without them, dabbing wouldn’t be possible! The nail acts as the heating element of your rig to allow the vaporizing of oils and concentrates.
Mini glass dab nails can often be included with your newly purchased rig free of charge or bought separately, depending on the seller. Both options have their advantage.
Buying the nail separately can be great! Although this is more expensive, you will get to decide on the perfect nail for your rig. Often times, when a nail is included with your rig, the quality of the nail is very basic.
TIP: If a basic glass nail IS included with your dab rig purchase, you can also use the rig for a time or two before buying the nail. This may give you more insight as to what kind of material and style of dab nail you’d like to invest in.

There are Five Main Types of Dab Nails:
Glass Nails – The main advantage of owning a glass nail is the affordability. Although these nails tend to break very easily, they can be replaced inexpensively. Other pluses include the great taste these nails provide but consider that glass will not last overtime under these conditions. Your nail will be heated to excruciatingly high temperatures and can shatter from these extreme conditions. Remember that glass does not retain heat very long so be ready to inhale quickly!
Titanium Nails (and sometimes steel) – These nails are most frequent to be used by experienced dabbers. The reason for this is the long-lasting durability supplied. After having broke many glass nails, people decide that it’s time to invest in a quality titanium nail. The heat retention is outstanding for titanium and metal nails, just be sure you wait until it cools down some to touch or move it.
CeramicNails – Very weak and breakable. Although it may have the same durability as glass, these nails retain heat longer providing you with time to breathe before taking that hit! Remember that you will be replacing this nail very often.
QuartzNails – A special material that has greater durability than glass nails while providing you with the same amazing, quality taste. Will last longer than ceramic & glass nails but not as long titanium or metal. Give these a try! I can ensure great quality taste and durability. The heat lasts longer than glass and ceramic.
E-Nails – The growing trend. People love these e-nails. Although they are the most expensive, the quality and customization is worth it. Imagine setting the temperature of your dab nail and be able to get perfect hits every single time. The taste would be amazing and you would be certain that your nail will always be ready to dab. E-nails make that imagination come true. This has changed the world of dabbing for the greater good. If you ever get the pleasure of using an e-nail, consider yourself an elite member of the dabbing community.
